‘Students’ booted
Aomori University in Aomori-ken, Japan, has dismissed 122 overseas students – most of whom are Chinese – who did not attend classes from 2008 to 2010.
The youths were found by the Sendai Immigration Control Bureau (SCIB) to be posing as students, while illegally working in Japan. According to Kyodo News, most have left Japan.
SICB said about 90 percent worked in restaurants in the Tokyo metropolitan area and in Aichi and Hokkaido. Most have been sent back to their home countries.
