2011 Honda Accord EX-L leather splitting and cracking?

My 2 1/2 year old Honda Accord EX-L leather console and arm rest is splitting, cracking, and bubbling.Is anyone else having this problem with such a new vehicle? Does anyone know of a recall on these vehicles?

I’m not sure about a recall notice. Although I think it’s highly unlikely.

You should definitely take your Accord back to the dealer you purchased it from and make them replace the arm rest. Which they should be more than glad to do unless the 3yr/36,000k warr. is up.

Well, Dee, unless you are a time traveler I’m not sure how your 2011 accord is 2.5 years old. Anyways-Ive seen the console leather worn oof of a 2007 RDX with 100k on the clock so its possible. If youre out of warranty just pony up the 100 bux or whatever and buy it. Also, its not leather its probably fake. Generally the "seating surfaces" are the only real leather. That and maybe the steering wheel cover or shift knob.
